The Estate

The hilltop town of Montepulciano visible from the Agaporia olive grove, with the rewilded boundary zone between. The 70-hectare regenerative five-star estate sits in Montefollonico, in the territory of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Tuscany.

Agaporia is Agape and Oria: a place of compassion, where Nature and people prosper together.

Twenty-four suites, a working farm, three places to eat and a research laboratory, in Montefollonico and inside the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano appellation.

Sixteen of the seventy hectares are held out of production permanently. Four cents in every hundred of room revenue belong to restoration before anything else is counted. Nothing arrives from further than a hundred kilometres. Three commitments, fixed before the first stone, and all three hold from the first season.

These three are costs, entered ahead of profit, which is where good causes rarely sit. A thin year changes what the estate keeps and leaves all three untouched.

You will leave with the record of your own stay: what the land gained in the season you were with us, and the share that belongs to you.

The health of the earth and human vitality are one measure.
